As experienced of an event planner you are, it’s very common to get so wrapped up in planning that you forget a crucial detail. Regardless of your event planning status, from rookie to seasoned veteran, it’s very challenging to remember everything with large elaborate parties. The easiest way to prevent this from happening is to have one last final meeting with your event team to go over any last-minute details. The Rent Letters team recommends to go over this checklist of commonly missed event planning details to ensure you aren’t missing anything!

Alcohol License

If your event has alcohol, this is a big one to remember! Laws always differ by state and country,  but typically it takes roughly 5 weeks to have an application approved.

Food Allergies

After planning an elaborate dinner menu for your event, the last thing you want to run into is a guest unable to feast with everyone else! If your attendees are electronically RSVPing, use this opportunity to collect all food allergy and preferences. This will ensure your menu will be all set to go and guests will be satisfied.

Emergency Kit

No matter what, an emergency kit is always a good thing to have on hand when managing an event. Decorations can come unglued, pens can go missing from the check-in table, and a variety of other last-minute hiccups can take place. Packing an emergency kit will keep stress levels down and everyone calm. Some things you can include in a generic kit would be:

  • tape
  • pens
  • scissors
  • ibuprofen
  • first aid kit
